Sam's Club expands Scan & Go app with new Scan & Ship feature

Sam's Club recently tried to develop a new version of its existing Scan & Go technology, Scan & Ship, to provide an easier shopping experience to adapt to the changing shopping needs of consumers. It solves the problem of having to Ship large items. The program also allows members to use the Scan & Go feature in the Sam's Club app to Scan products that allow members to select different colors and sizes that may not be available in the store. Costco reported that the program boosted same-day grocery delivery sales by 450% in the second quarter, while Target also recently tested new ways to deliver orders faster after experiencing triple-digit percentage growth in its digital fulfillment services. The Scan & Ship pilot has huge potential to provide the ultimate omnichannel membership experience across the whole chain." Tim Simmons, senior vice president and chief product officer at Sam's Club.
